Weird noise about 50mph upwards ?

Is it me , the cars or something wrong at around 50mph onwards its like u can really hear the road in the car is it the tyres or could it be a wheel bearing or anything anyone heard or had this ? Could just be me as this is my first silent car with loud exhausts etc so not used to noises lol. But defo can hear some road noise really weird ? Thanks guys

The cars are naturally noisey especially if you have the cup chassis, also the clio always sounds like it wants to change gear

I had this problem turned out I had driven the car with not enough pressure in the tyre and when I changed the tyre it was full of rubber particles now it's changed the noise had gone give that a try

Ok thank you it's just it's not a constant noise it's like rmmm rmmm rmmm rmm lol if I can do it by text ! Only at 50 or more it's slightly annoying and you can feel the throttle pedal on these cars vibrate a lil don't you think ?

yea mate im pritty sure it does too ?

I'm not saying it is but it could be a bearing, it's difficult to say without hearing it but does it seem to come from a certain side or area in the car?

I had a nearside one go on my dci and it's obvious by that sticking your head over to that side it sounded louder etc.

Clios in general are not at all refined in the noise department though.

Yea thanks guys it's going for it's 5 year service in a few weeks I shall just say I have a lil bit of drowning noise from front! Thank you for your help guys

Had 5 year service done couldn't find nothing to do with noise but now I have it back it seems worse the car feels like it vibrates more is this because of the cam belt being changed that the car feels weird now ??

Erm... If the Cambelt change is causing more noise/vibration then I think you need to get it checked out by a specialist.

Where did you have the Cambelt changed?

I got it done at Renault at Braintree I just started the car now and the whole car vibrates inside now not really bad but enough to feel it it's like I have some metal engine mounts on !! What is this !

As per the other thread, don't use the car until it's been checked out.

Get on the phone to the garage and have them collect it. It could be something simple like a mount is loose but if it's the actual engine itself that's having issues then you really don't want to risk it going bang on you. Fingers crossed it is just something simple and it's easily fixable. Whatever it turns out to be, can you please leet us know as it may help others in the future?

went there after work today just got home and all the knocking and vibration has gone obviously the car didnt like the engine sitting back them few mm.. they should of know though to put it back in same position ****sss!! at least its sorted now  still got a drowning noise on motorways when above 50mph i swear its my wheel bearings you can feel it on pedal to its as if you can slightly feel the driveshafts spinning as your driving or are all clios like this they think the bearings are fine hmmm..

Thanks everyone for all ya help !

Are your tyres balanced properly?

havent checked but i need 2 new tyres on front as they very low and my steering is slightly pulling to left ?

thanks

I had 6 year old contis on the rear of my clio, heard a noise which sounded like wheel bearings gone, I had just replaced the rear discs, which includes the wheel bearings etc so I assumed the front bearings. Changed them still had the noise and slight vibration. Rear tyres where knackered a month later changed them noise etc gone!!! Would have saved me £160 if I had just changed the tyres!!!! Which were done a month earlier anyway!!
