New Front Tyres = Slightly Vague Feeling?

Bit confused about this. I had a new pair of Conti Sport Contact 5 fitted to the front of my 200 a couple of days ago (215x45x17 87W inflated to 33 PSI cold) but the steering now feels a bit vague compared to before they were changed, and there is also a bit of a dead spot when the steering wheel is centred. I had the standard Conti Sport Contact 3's on previously. Any clues why this might be the case? Steering definately felt more responsive before and instantly reacted left or right from dead centre.

who did the tyre pressures? double check them with a manual guage first!

dont ever trust a forecourt pressure guage...

Always felt there is a little play near the centre on the 197 & 200. Might also be new tires that need scrubbing off.

If it's wheel nut's you'll get vibration through the wheel. I'd say the tracking is slightly out or the tyres just need the surface coating scrubbing off.
